Out trip to Samar that was supposedly a Summer Outing, turned out to be an amazing race challenge when we realized that Tropical Depression 'Bebeng' was on the way. But inspite of rerouting, riding different vehicles and facing the storm head on, my mother's will to reach our destination prevailed.  ( Since mother's day, we had to oblige by her deepest wishes - madami daw naghihintay ng sweldo =p
True enough, our 'Buwis Buhay' trip paid off. It was rewarding to see the developments in the resort. It's not yet fully operational. But my mom wants to have a soft opening sometime soon, just to cater to the locals and to introduce ourselves.
Samar is now being introduced as a new spot for trippers with it's numerous tourist attractions - old churches, rock formations, and white beaches.  Just an hour boat ride from the tip of Bicol (Matnog, Sorsogon), you'll find the Dalupirit Island.  There are around 4 operational resorts in this island. We'll be the fifth resort. ^_*
EWP Resto and Cafe team will manage the restaurant in the Resort. We might  just call it the Veranda - since it would be weird to call it Roofdeck =P  Our goal is to help provide job opportunities for the locals in the place specially those who would like to go into food service and commercial cooking =) We also target to showcase our favorite meals in Roofdeck and mix them with the native delicacies to satisfy the curious taste buds of  both locals and tourist alike.
The Resort will also have 8 rooms, 6 cottages, a internet library, the Veranda and a pool. If God will bless us with funds, we'll be able operational by Summer Next Year.
Untill then, we'll keep you posted. ^_*

As for me, I just look forward to the space where I can design and paint the walls. =) yey! I just have this great idea where blue and brown will paint the town! :D

We'll be embarking on a journey back to our home town (San Antonio, Northern Samar) where a new Roofdeck will rise soon!

Last Holy Thursday, our team went on a spiritual Journey.  We went to 6 six different old churches here in Laguna.  From Calamba, we went straight to Pakil, Paete, Kalayaan, Pagsanjan and Liliw.  We were suppose to go to Nagcarlan too but we got lost going to Pakil and almost end up roaming Caliraya, Quezon if  we did not stop and wonder why there are no other cars going the same way. ^_^
So by the time we arrived in liliw it was already late in the afternoon almost in time for the washing of the feet. We had to finished all 14 stations in Liliw.
Some of us got some souveniers in each church that we went to.

Here are some new stuffs in our resto ;) Loved the official Colors of Roofdeck.

Amidst everything that's been happening in the world, there are still some people who finds time just to do something unnecessary. Last 17Mar, upon arrival of the staff in our resto and office they found that the Tarp in our parking area was stolen :| what the ?!? My father had ensured that this was pinned and drilled to the wall before he left for the province. It's unbeliveable but it's really probable as my dad would constantly remind me of the risk of putting a tarp outside. I know at the back of my mind that this could happen, but I prayed hard and hope that it'll attract more customers before It would be stolen. Hahaha. Well, for me it believed it has already served it's purpose. Though it's another hit in the gut, we have to shell out for another tarp and pray harder that those people will have no more interest in the same 'design'.

I just hope that whoever stole it, would be able to put it in good use! I'd be glad if one day I see that tarp at the back of a pedicab or a tricycle. At least we'd be advertised.
